Registered office address for consultants
Consultants and freelancers trading through a limited company can use our Brentwood address as their registered office and director service address for £10 a month or £100 a year, with no VAT. Your home address stays off the public register, and official post is scanned and sent to you digitally.
Why consultants use one
- Clients often check Companies House before signing a contract; a registered office keeps your home address out of that search.
- You can show the address on your website, proposals and invoices as your registered office.
- Official post is handled the same way whether you work from home, a client's office or abroad.
Client correspondence
We do not accept client or supplier correspondence, so put a separate contact address or email on proposals for day-to-day communication. The registered office is for official post only.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the address on my website?
Yes, as your company's registered office — UK companies must show their registered office address on their website. Because we do not accept customer correspondence, give customers a separate contact address or email for enquiries.
Can I use it on invoices?
Yes, as your registered office address, which companies are required to show on invoices and order forms. Ask customers to send payments and correspondence elsewhere, as we do not accept trading mail.
Is the director service address included for all directors?
Yes. Every director of the company can use our Brentwood address as their service address. There is no per-director charge.
Can you receive general business or trading mail?
No. This is a registered office and official address service, not a general virtual office mailroom. We do not accept general trading mail, customer correspondence or supplier post.
How do I cancel the monthly plan?
Give us 30 days' notice. Contact support@RegisteredAddressEssex.co.uk or call 01277 523105, and remember to move your registered office away from our address at Companies House.
