Can I use a registered office address for my business bank account?
Yes — you can give our Brentwood address as your company's registered office on a business bank account application, because that is the company's official address on the Companies House register. Banks set their own rules, though, and will usually also ask for each director's home address, so no registered office provider can guarantee a bank's decision.
What banks typically check
Requirements differ between banks and change over time, so check the bank's own guidance before applying.
- The company's registered office, as shown at Companies House.
- The directors' and significant shareholders' home addresses and identity.
- Where the business actually trades and what it does.
Bank post and our service
Our service covers ordinary official post sent to your company at its registered office. It is not a general mailroom, so we do not accept trading correspondence, customer post or parcels. If you are unsure whether a particular sender's letters are covered, ask us before giving out the address.
Keeping your home address private
Your home address given to a bank is not published. What matters for privacy is the public Companies House register — using our address as the registered office and as each director's service address keeps your home address off it.
